The Challenge
Building a product we believed in.
BrightSite is our own product — a modern CMS platform built for small businesses and agencies who need more than a page builder but don't want the overhead of a traditional CMS. We saw the gap in the market firsthand through our client work.
The challenge was building a full SaaS product while continuing to serve our clients. We needed to design, develop, and launch a complete platform: multi-tenant architecture, visual editing, template system, hosting, analytics, and a marketing site to sell it.
This wasn't just a development project — it required product strategy, brand identity, pricing, and a go-to-market plan to compete in an established market with a differentiated offering.
Our Approach
Dog-food the product, ship with conviction.
Platform Development
Built the entire CMS platform from scratch: multi-tenant architecture, visual page editor, component system, template engine, media management, forms, blog, analytics, and custom domain support. Built on Elixir for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Brand & Marketing
Created the BrightSite brand identity, marketing website, and content strategy. Positioned the product as the modern alternative for businesses that want beautiful, fast websites without the complexity of traditional CMS platforms.
Go-to-Market
Launched with a focused GTM strategy: started by using the platform for our own client projects (proving the product), then expanded to external customers through direct outreach and content marketing.
BrightSite is live and powering real client websites — including this one. Building our own product has made us better at building for our clients, and it continues to evolve with every project we deliver through it.
